Education + Approach

I received my Master of Social Work degree at Columbia University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, passionate about the work we can do in therapy to create healing and restoration in your life. There are a variety of different settings I have worked in, with children, young adults & adults, and senior citizens, in non-profits, human service agencies, residential homes, and more recently in an intensive outpatient program. My favorite space to work however is in one-on-one, family, or couples therapy!

Whether you are new to therapy or have been in therapy prior, my practice is not simply centered on managing symptoms and having a space to feel heard; First, when you show up to therapy we will spend time understanding what patterns you face, where they originated, how they have shaped you, and what may be preventing healthier relationships or ways of living. Second, the relationship-centered care is part of the central vehicle for healing in and out of therapy. You will experience a place and space where you are rooted in being known, being accepted, being challenged with compassion, and being supported through change.

Most recently I completed the IFS (Level 1) training. Additionally, training in CPT, the Gottman Method, and anger management have heavily influenced the kind of psychodynamic work we can do together (along with a CBT and DBT lens). Suffice to say, given the way that your unique life story has unfolded, and depending on what it is that you need or what feedback you may have, I adapt and show up with and for you in a grounding, creative, and revitalizing way.

I do offer supervision to new therapists, or LMSW’s in the field. Inquiring therapists, please reach out to me directly.
